Bladder injury following hysterectomy
Camilla developed a visicovaginal fistula following a hysterectomy in 2008. PMS Expert Report concluded that her treatment was negligent. Her bladder was injured during the procedure and the doctor failed to recognise the damage. If the damage had been recognised at the time, the injury could have been repaired. As a result of the negligence, Camilla’s psychological condition has deteriorated, although physically she is restored.
The case settled and Camilla has been compensated.
